In 2020, in response to the global COVID-19 pandemic, research and development engineers developed a new air purifier based on UV-C light. Microwell then began to manufacture and sell the ATHMOSS germicidal air purifier, which draws in air, cleans it, filters it, and then releases the compressed air back into the room in the presence of people.
Microwell, spol. s r.o., founded in 1992, consists of three business divisions. Following the first division for industrial measurement solutions, a second division focused on air-conditioning solutions was established in 1996. The youngest and fastest-growing division specialises in the development, manufacture and distribution of desulphurisation solutions and heating systems. Based on the comprehensive knowledge and experience of the measurement and air conditioning divisions, it was established in 2003 after recognising a market need for innovative, advanced, reliable and efficient products. Microwell continuously invests in a full-range manufacturing facility with its own research and development centre, laboratory, and testing ground.
